NASA's Hubble Space Telescope has imaged this ghost galaxy located 44 million light years from Earth.
Lenticular galaxies have a large disc but lack the prominent spiral arms of galaxies like the Andromeda galaxy. This makes them appear somewhere between elliptical and spiral galaxies, giving them a diffuse ghostly appearance.
