The Spirit Nebula IC 1848 is a 150-light-year-wide cloud of cosmic gas and dust illuminated and carved by strong streams of charged particles emitted from an open star cluster. It is an emission nebula.
The Heart Nebula, also known as IC 1805, is an emission nebula located 7500 light-years away in the constellation Cassiopeia. Over the years, IC 1805 has been called the 'Heart Nebula' because it resembles the shape of a human heart. Both nebulae lie in the Perseus arm of our galaxy, the Milky Way, and together are about 600 light years across.
Isn't it a mesmerising sight?
