CAN THE LAPLACE DEVIL THEORY BE TRUE? -Friendz10
“Nothing is luck. Everything can be predicted.”
Have you heard of Laplace's Devil's Theorem? It is a theorem for explaining random events defined as chance. According to him, there is no such thing as chance, events defined as luck are predetermined to happen, he said that everything can be predicted.
Is such a thing really possible? Isn't it very interesting and at the same time terrifying?
Moivre's pre-calculation of his death is cited as the basis for his argument. Why does man calculate his own death? I would like to pause the topic and ask, would you calculate your date of death, would you like to know?
In the last days of his life, Moivre realizes that every day he sleeps fifteen minutes more than the day before. Based on this, he thinks he will be dead after he sleeps for twenty-four hours. With his simple calculations, he calculates the date of his death as 27 November 1754. Indeed, Moivre died on November 27, 1754.
The depiction of the devil in Laplace's Devil Theorem is the living thing that has all the real knowledge in the universe. If this demon has access to all the true knowledge in the universe and can choose the best among these possibilities, he can predict the future.
What do you think, is such a thing possible?
