A frequent ghost at Chillingham Castle, and the most famous is the ghost of the Blue Boy. This ghost is frequently seen by tourists. The Blue Child starts crying and groaning from pain or fear as it comes to midnight. These moans come from the side of a 10-foot wall carved passageway. As the screams subside, a glowing ring of light is seen.

Another common ghost is the ghost of Lady Mary Berkeley. Lady Mary Berkeley is wandering around hopelessly with no purpose. According to some, the ghost searching for his sister, Lady Mary, is on an endless search. There are even those who claim to hear the rustle of the ghost's dress and the sound of footsteps.

The torture chamber of Chillingham Castle is exhibited in the castle, which is open for touristic visits. A room with a terrifying charm features a tension hanger, a nail bed, a spiked barrel, and a spiked chair. The Iron Maiden, thumb screws, foot irons, chains and other torture instruments are still on display today.
