WHAT IS THE SOURCE OF HOW?

- Since the sound is likened to a diesel engine, the first explanation that comes to mind is that it may be of mechanical or electrical origin. There are even cases that were previously described as humming. It has been determined that the source of the hum in Kokomo in the USA is the cooling tower and the air compressor.

However, in the case of Taos, a mechanical source could not be identified despite investigations.

- It was thought that the hum was related to some kind of hearing problem. However, as a result of medical examinations on people who heard the hum, it was determined that the people did not have a hearing problem.

- According to another thought, the hum is caused by natural oto-acoustic emission. Although we are not aware of it, the inner ear makes a low frequency sound. This sound is also called 'auto-acoustic emission'. Some of us can hear this voice. Those who can hear this sound will hear it during quiet hours, for example, at night. Natural auto-acoustic emission is similar to hum. But that doesn't explain the loss of sound when they leave the area.

- It has been claimed that the noises may have originated from experiments on society for military purposes, since the hums originated in the USA and the UK.

- It has been claimed that the hum is a hallucination in the sound form.

- The alien theory was put forward.
