INGREDIENTS:
1 sheet (150g) puff pastry
2 tablespoons raspberry jam
1 egg yolk + 1 tablespoon of water (mix for egg wash)
40g icing sugar
2 teaspoons of milk
MAKING:
- Roll out the pastry dough and cut in half.
- Spread the raspberry jam evenly on one half.
- Place the other half on top of the raspberry jam layer.
- Press the two edges so that the two phyllo sheets stick together.
- Cut into long strips 1.5 cm wide.
- Twist each strip slightly to form a spiral pattern and shape into a candy cane shape.
- Place evenly on a baking tray.
- Brush the surface of the cake with egg wash.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 18~20 minutes.
- Leave to cool.
- Mix the icing sugar and milk together and drizzle over the cake.
