In Turkey, Mount Ida of Aydın city or more commonly known as Mount Ida is called Mount of Gods.

Once upon a time, four powerful Titans lived on Mount Ida. Then the Titans, who were expelled from the world by losing their war with the Olympians. Before this war, Clymene and Iapetos got married and gave birth to four children.

Atlas, one of these four children, was very brave and reckless; Even Zeus. Enraged by this situation, Zeus condemned him to carry the world on his shoulders one day. That's why we call books containing world maps today Atlas.

The last brother, Prometheus, was also wise, strong, and honorable. Of these Titans, he was the one who frightened Zeus the most. All four of them did not accept the kingdom of Zeus. Prometheus had a talent, he could foresee the future. He foresaw what was to come.

Zeus hid many things, and most importantly, the fire of knowledge, from people so that people would not harm him and seize his throne. Because he did not want people to be informed by finding the fire of knowledge and to rise up against him.

Prometheus decided to take this fire of knowledge to humans. He left early one morning. He took with him the narthex flower, which looked very much like fire. When he reached Mount Ida and came to the fire of knowledge, he took the fire of knowledge and replaced it with the narthex flower. He quickly returned to the people and gave them the fire of knowledge. It is now the duty of the people to grow and protect this fire of knowledge.

Of course, Zeus went crazy and punished Prometheus. His punishment was this: Every day an eagle came to Prometheus, who was chained to a mountain, and ate his liver. Every night his liver was being renewed and the next morning he was given new food for the eagle. It was an endless torture. But Prometheus believed that people would raise the fire of knowledge and save him.
