MİTOLOJİD EÖĞRETMEN: PROMETHEUS

Bir zamanlar ateş sadece Olimpos'un tepesinde yanmaktadır. İnsanlar soğuktan ve vebadan kırılırken tanrılar ateşi sadece kendilerine saklamaktadırlar. Kendisi de bir titan olan insanların yaratıcısı Prometheus'un gönlü buna razı gelmez ve ateşi bir gece Olimpos'tan alıp insanlara armağan eder. Bu yaptığının cezası çok büyük olur. Zeus tarafından kayalara zincirlerle bağlanıp ciğerlerinin kartallar tarafından yenmesine mahkum edilir. Ölümsüz olduğu için bu işkence sonsuza kadar hep tekrarlanıcaktır. Prometheus'u daha sonra bu durumdan Herakles kurtarmıştır.

Once upon a time, the fire is only burning at the top of Olympos. When humans break from the cold and plague, the gods keep the fire only for themselves. The heart of Prometheus, the creator of the people who have a titan in himself, does not agree with this and takes the fire from Olympos one night and presents it to the people. The punishment for doing this is huge. He is sentenced to chains by Zeus and sentenced to be eaten by eagles. Since it is immortal, this torture will always be repeated forever. Heracles saved Prometheus from this situation later.
