Dionysus kültüne bağlı periler olan Bacchanteler, genellikle çıplak veya az giydirilmiş, çiçekten bir taç takarak, dans ederek veya müzik çalarak tasvir edilir. Bacchante ismi dilimize "Baküs Rahibesi" olarak geçer.

Bacchantes, fairies of the cult of Dionysus, are usually depicted naked or underdressed, wearing a flower crown, dancing or playing music. The name Bacchante is referred to as "The Bacchic Priestess" in our language.
