Did you catch up with the cassette tapes? We used to listen to music from cassettes, we used to put a pen in the holes of the cassettes and roll the cassette... Those were the days...
I still love cassettes very much. Since an artist loves them as much as I do, he wanted to make use of them, so he made fascinating portraits of musicians from those cassette films. This artist is Amy Corson.
When Amy Corson was reviewing the tape of Bob Dylan's 'Blood on the Tracks' cassette, she noticed how much it resembled his iconic curly hair. This sparked a great idea; he decided to take action to create a unique portrait of the legendary musician. He recounts this memory as follows:
"I spent the whole weekend making a portrait of Dylan using only cassette tape and some glue. Then I started making other musicians I admire or am inspired by, including local musicians. Music, like art, is a powerful force that has the ability to move you, challenge you and uplift you. I love being able to combine these two things."
It is also written on the cassettes which artist they are. We leave you alone with these fascinating portraits.
