We love cats and we know that they have a world of their own. Sometimes we even believe that cats are aliens. We also know that cats have characters and behaviours according to their breed. But do we know the differences between male and female cats?

Male cats are very cute and affectionate. They really enjoy playing with other cats and people. They are bigger and heavier than female cats. Their faces are more rounded and they have large, squeezable cheeks. No matter how old they are, they behave as curious as a small child.

Male cats may have a higher risk of urinary tract obstruction and obesity.

She-cats are spoilt. They are gentle and cuddly by nature. Their faces are smaller and thinner than male cats. They are usually more aggressive towards people and other cats. Female cats are more playful and cleaner than male cats. They lick their hair frequently.

Leadership qualities are less common in female cats. Male cats see themselves as leaders.

Although female cats do not show their love to your face, they are extremely loyal to their owners. Their maternal instinct remains strong even after they have been neutered. You may have even noticed that your she-cat doesn't leave your side when you are sick or feeling bad. In that process, she is actually mothering you by staying with you.
