Reed Flute Cave, which has been one of the most interesting places in Guilin, China for more than 1200 years, is about 180 million years old. The cave, which is 240 meters long, takes its name from the reeds that grow at its entrance and are used to make flutes. The lake inside the cave is illuminated with various artificial and colored lights, and this image is remembered by those who enter the cave.
It is impossible not to be swept away by the gravitational pull of Reed Flute Cave, which salutes the earth from under your feet and looks like it has come out of fairy tale lands. If there's one thing to make us believe how mysterious the underground is, it's the Reed Flute Cave, one of the most impressive caves in the world.
Located about 6 km from the center of Guilin city in northwest China, Reed Flute Cave (Reed Flute Cave) was discovered in 1940 by Japanese troops searching for illegal refugees during World War II. However, it is obvious that refugees were not the first to take refuge in this 250-meter-long cave. Reed Flute has always been a source of attraction for the locals of the region who actually fell here.
So much so that there are nearly 70 inscriptions in the cave from AD 792, that is, from the Tang Dynasty, reminiscent of today's graffiti.
Reed Flute Cave, which looks like it was made by an artist, is flooded with visitors from all over the world today. The cave, which takes its name from the red reeds used in flute making and is located right at the entrance of the cave, is illuminated with colorful lights that create magnificent images in its interior.
It's definitely a place you'll want to see if you go to China.
