At the heart of Sh2-284 is a stellar nursery where dense clouds of gas and dust collapse under their own gravity to give birth to new stars. These stellar babies illuminate their surroundings, colouring the region in vivid shades of red, blue and green.
Deep in the constellation Monoceros, this celestial wonderland offers a glimpse into the cosmic ballet of star birth and evolution.
