For starters, this structure is three light-years across and belongs to one of the largest star-forming regions in our galaxy. It's also largely made of hydrogen.
Fortunately, mountain bikers competing in the #Olympics didn't have to deal with anything like this.
This image, known as ‘Mystic Mountain’, was taken specially for Hubble's 20th anniversary! This stellar nursery is home to young stars hidden within, firing jets of gas that radiate out from between huge peaks of gas and dust.
In the image, mountain-like structures made of gas and dust are rising into space. These structures are predominantly brown in colour and illuminated by orange areas. Jets of gas are visible at the ends of these upwardly tapering formations. In the background is a nebular space landscape glowing in blue and purple tones, with a few pink stars scattered across the vast expanse.
This image reminds me of Mount Olympus and the place where the gods lived. It looks exactly like the place where the Greek gods would live, what do you think about this?
