NASA James Webb's discovery reveals the similarity of chemical constituents found around two baby stars that have not yet formed planets. These components hint that potentially habitable worlds could form, but planets have not yet formed. The image shows a protostar region in the vicinity of IRAS 23385. This protostar may be similar to the early stages of our own solar system. The chemicals detected in its neighbourhood may have been present in the early formation stages of our solar system and may have contributed to the formation of the primordial Earth.
The landscape offers a view of a molecular cloud region. In the upper part an orange cloud is dense and bright, while the lower parts are darker and thinner in colour. A bright star with short diffraction spikes and several fainter stars are visible.
Doesn't it look like a snowflake?
