II.During World War II, there was a serious dental problem all over the world. At that time, because dental treatment was not yet developed, people had to either have their teeth extracted or put up with their decayed teeth for a lifetime.
Bad breath, cavities, cavities and broken teeth were among the most common problems. The problem was so serious that the US government decided to enlist only citizens with at least 6 undamaged females.
Realizing the urgency and seriousness of the situation, the Swedish government decided to take some unprecedented measures in this regard. First of all, dentists working for the state were tasked with finding a permanent solution to this situation. But before doctors could find the solution, they had to find the root cause of the problem.
To find out the cause, the doctors and government officials stopped at Vipeholm Mental Hospital, where people suffer from psychological disorders. More than a thousand patients aged between 15-70 years, especially those diagnosed with mental retardation, were recruited for the experiment and promised improvement. It took about 6 months for the subjects to adjust to their new life. At the end of this period, patients who had problems were either forced to sleep or washed in cold water.

Hudo Froderberg, the only doctor in Vipeholm, and other staff divided the subjects into seven different categories between 0 and 6. Group 0 was considered even lower than animals (!), while those with high scores received extensive surveillance.
During the first two years of the experiment, patients were given half the sugar found in a regular Swedish meal, fluoride tablets, small amounts of starch, and vitamins A, B, and D. At the end of two years, no cavities were seen in the subjects. That's why it's on to the last step.
In the final phase of the experiment, the patients were divided into four different groups and given food containing twice as much sugar as Swedish meals. The first group was given extra sweet donuts, the second group was given sugary drinks, the third and fourth groups were given caramel, chocolate and tofi. Not even two weeks later, dental caries, cavities and bad breath began to appear in all groups except those given the drink. Among the suffering patients, those at low levels were not treated.
This event, in which patients with mental disorders were preferred as subjects, was written as a black mark in the history of humanity.
