Loki has a complex character. He has fun playing tricks on other Aesir Gods. One of his most important traps was to have Odin's son Balder killed by deceiving the blind God Hodr. After this act, he was removed from Odin's blood brotherhood and imprisoned in a cave in the depths of the world.
Loki lies in the cave tied to a stone with the intestines of his murdered son, Narfi. The poison flowing from the mouth of the giant snake entangled in the stalactites above him drips into his eyes, but his wife Sigyn is trying to protect Loki with the wooden bowl in her hand. However, when the vessel is full, when he moves away to empty it, Loki is affected by the poison, which causes earthquakes in Scandinavian beliefs. This punishment will continue until Ragnarok, which is called the Judgment Day in Norse mythology.
